Jimin, BTS, Ryan Gosling, I’m Just Ken, Oscars 2024, Barbie

One of the highlights of the 96th Academy Awards – aka Oscars 2024, was undoubtedly Ryan Gosling’s energetic performance to Barbie’s much-loved track ‘I’m Just Ken.’ While the actor set the stage on fire with an electrifying act, there was one thing missing – Ken’s very own guitar. And fans were quick to point out BTS’ Jimin was responsible for it.

Wondering how? Well, for those who don’t remember, when the Margot Robbie-led Barbie released last year, the world – especially the BTS Army, were quick to notice a similarity between Ryan Gosling’s Ken and Jimin. The similarity was an uncanny resemblance between Ken’s black cowboy outfit and Jimin’s Permission to Dance costume.

Before the situation could blow out of hand, Ryan addressed the issue on Barbie’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote, “Had to give @j.m this (guitar emoji) for his KEN-RGY!”. In the video, he praised ‘Like Crazy’ singer and even added that “he definitely wore it best.” He even added that he was passing on his most prized possession – the Ken guitar – as a “humble offering” to BTS Jimin. The ‘Serendipity’ artist also posted a video posing with the Ken guitar. He captioned it, “Thanks for having my outfit in #BarbieTheMovie! You rocked it, Ken
